Our Freestanding mod for Tensa4 converts any version of Tensa4 into a guyline-free stand. This is especially useful indoors, where the guying requirement of the standard version may be limiting. The compact footprint of Tensa4 Freestanding (FS) makes it fit where no other full-size hammock stand can, accommodating up to 12′ hammocks on sloped or level ground with a triangular base 60″x84″ (17.5 square feet). When the standard Tensa4 guylines and anchors are left behind, Tensa4-FS weighs 16 pounds, and packs down to a bundle 20″ long and 6″ around.

The assembled stand folds to and deploys from an easily stowable 5′ column within 30 seconds. Setting up from and breaking down to the smallest packed state takes some minutes, faster after the first time leaving pole connections and adjustments for your hammock intact.
