Description
This is a kit of parts including:
- One 9-segment ridgepole
- One head support pole and adjuster assembly
- Two stub #4 segments with special “unifeet”
Tensa4’s standard ridgeline is replaced with the ridgepole, while the foot guyline and anchor are replaced with the head support pole and adjuster strap assembly. The stub #4 segments replace the full-length upper #4 segments of Tensa4 on the higher foot side only. In freestanding mode, the foot-side poles are 6 segments long, while the head side poles remain the full 7-segment length. This shifts the hammock center very stably into the triangular base, for a super solid feel regardless how you sit or lay. The modification is easily reversible without tools. Use Tensa4 in whichever mode suits you each time you set up.
For older (2018-2021) Tensa4 stands where the poles connect through holes in the tubing (instead of through holes in the feet), you will also want to order two of our current ball loops with pins. The ones that came with older stands may be too short to connect the new pole elements.
See our work-in-progress Freestanding Mod for Tensa4 instructions draft.
